About Me

Lucy the precocious doxie with her ma

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by. As you can see by my photo, I have a thing for doxies. But what you can’t see is that I also love labs—chocolate ones in particular.

The pups keep me company as I work from home, editing and writing and meeting women for informal counseling, Bible study, or just conversation—almost always over coffee.

When I’m not working on a project, I’m usually in my car driving one or more of my four children all over creation. They range from 17 to 7, so they keep me and my husband of 20 years hopping in so many great ways.

Professionally speaking, I earned a Master of Theology from Dallas Seminary a long time ago.  I have been privileged to co-author several books and contribute to two others, help manage three different nonprofit websites, write fiction reviews for Publishers Weekly, and serve as a Christy Award judge (evaluating inspirational fiction for annual awards). I have also spent the last twenty years, in and around those activities, freelancing as a book editor, magazine writer, and proofreader. I just really like words!

If your project needs a guiding hand, I’d love to talk with you.
